Regularly scheduled volunteers are ALWAYS needed!

Sacred Heart Community Service is always in need of volunteers to help run our programs.

Volunteers are essential in order to prepare and distribute grocery boxes, sort and hang donated clothing and to offer customer service with dignity, compassion and respect to more than 2,000 customers a day.

We also offer volunteer opportunities in résumé writing, tutoring and financial assistance for customers.

Volunteers in eighth grade or under must have an adult chaperone with them at all times. Volunteers 18 years and older will be required to submit fingerprints when volunteering with children. Please contact the Volunteer Office for more information.

We ask all volunteers to attend an orientation before scheduling shifts with us.

Group Volunteer shifts will include a "welcome and tour."

As of Jan. 1, 2007,we are no longer able to accept walk-in volunteers. All volunteer shifts must be scheduled in advance by contacting the Volunteer Office. Please make sure to confirm your shift in advance. Volunteers who do not confirm in advance may be turned away.

Please schedule shifts 2-3 weeks in advance.
